- How your billing information is provided to us?
You can submit the data by fax, by mail ( priority) or electronically through a secure internet connection. The frequency will depends on the volume of claims.
- How do we submit claims to the health plan?
We can transmit the claim electronically ( HIPPA compliant) or paper claim, depending on the payer’s capabilities.
- How fast is my claim paid by the health plan?
There are many factors that could influence the payment process. If it is a Medicare Advantage or a Medicare traditional claim or if it is a commercial claim. A Medicare electronic clean claim has to be hold for 13 days by CMS. Other claims has to be paid in accordance with local prompt payments rules, usually 45 days, except claims under medical reviews or denied claims.
- How fast can you be submitting our claims to the health plans?
Usually within five days upon signing the Service Agreement. This is also dependent upon credentialing if you are a new practice or upon contracting with payers if you do not have a contract which may take longer.
